Have you ever wondered what Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida is like in March? Well, wonder no more: we’re going to tell you about it!
My family has visited Disney World many times in March, and we have loved every visit. Personally, I think it’s one of the best times to visit. You’ll learn why I think so in this blog entry. We’ll tell you what to expect, regarding the weather, special events and/or parades, and even how to save money on tickets.
Weather
The weather is a big reason why I love visiting in March. Now, I cannot guarantee any particular weather, obviously. As powerful as Disney is, even they can’t control the weather!
But in general, the weather in March is nice. It’s not as cold as it normally is in January. But it’s not as hot as it is in the summer. As Goldilocks would say, it’s just right!
Flower & Garden Festival
Another reason my family loves visiting Disney World during March is the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! The festival starts on March 5, 2025, and runs through June 2, 2025.
We especially love the festival because of the beautiful topiaries. They are beautifully designed to look like Disney characters. You can see them here:
The festival also features some great concerts during the Garden Rocks Concert Series. We talk about the concert lineup here.
But there are other things that make this festival great. You can learn more about the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival here.
Minnie’s Springtime Dine
Another special springtime activity my family enjoys at Disney World in March is Minnie’s Springtime Dine. This is a character dining experience that takes place at the Hollywood and Vine restaurant at Hollywood Studios. Hollywood and Vine has different holiday-themed character dining experiences throughout the year. You may have been to their Halloween or Christmas meal.
The springtime event is similar with some of the same foods, but the Disney characters are dressed in springtime apparel and the music reflects the springtime theme, too.
Minnie’s Springtime Dine starts back this year on March 11th and runs through May 20th. You can read our review from Minnie’s Springtime Dine here.

Fat Tuesday
There are some holidays that, depending when they fall any given year, can come during March. One of those is Fat Tuesday. This year it will take place on Tuesday, March 4th.
If you want a fun way to celebrate Mardi Gras this year, then you should head to Port Orleans: French Quarter. What better place at Disney World to celebrate the holiday than a hotel themed to New Orleans? Just look at the hotel!
They have a lot of great festivities going on during Fat Tuesday, even including a parade:

St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day is another holiday in March that can be fun at Disney. There’s some good St. Patrick’s Day merch available, especially over at the UK Pavilion in Epcot. You could consider getting one of these Disney St. Patrick’s Day shirts for your trip.
I think a good place to eat during St. Patrick’s Day is Raglan Road over in Disney Springs. This restaurant has an Irish theme – and even has Irish dancing at select times!
So it is only natural they are holding a Mighty St. Patrick’s Day festival! The event takes place from Friday, March 14th through Monday, March 17th. This authentic Irish festival has non-stop entertainment, free face painting, and a great selection of beers, whiskeys, flights, and craft cocktails to pair with Irish food.
You can learn more about Raglan Road in our review.
Discount Disney Tickets
If you want to visit Disney World during March, then I am sure you’ll want to visit the theme parks. You can find discounted tickets to Disney World here.
