Visiting Orlando for the holiday season?  Then consider visiting the Universal Orlando Resort at Christmas time!  It can be great fun for you and your family.

Universal Orlando at Christmas

For starters, the hotels at Universal Orlando are decorated for Christmastime.  I love the decorations at Portofino Bay and Cabana Bay.  You can see the Christmas decorations in these videos for the hotels:

But then there is all the fun in the parks!  Universal Orlando has a lot of great holiday-specific activities the whole family can enjoy.  And by the way, you can get discounted tickets for Universal Studios Orlando through Tripster.

But back to why we love Universal Orlando at Christmas time.  Here are 5 reasons why Universal Studios Orlando is great fun during the holidays:

1. Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s

In this all-new incarnation of Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, you’ll see Santa, the minions and characters from Madagascar & Shrek.

2. Diagon Alley & London at Christmas

See Diagon Alley & London in the Universal Studios Florida part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter transformed into a Christmas wonderland.  Buskers singing holiday favorites at King’s Cross Station & Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees have a special holiday themed show.  And you can enjoy holiday treats & drinks.

3. Hogsmeade at Christmas

See Hogsmeade in the Islands of Adventure part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter transformed for Christmas!  The shops will be decorated in garland.  The Frog Choir has a special holiday show.  And you can enjoy the Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts, a stunning projection on the castle.

4. The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular

During the holiday season, Seuss Landing is filled with Christmas charm & the cheer of Who-ville.  You can meet the grinch himself & pose for photos (a wonderful addition to your Instagram!).  And you can enjoy the Who-liday Spectacular, a live retelling of the story of Grinch.

5. The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast

If you want a little more time with the Grinch, then consider booking this unique holiday character breakfast.  It even includes with hilariously snark small talk from the Grinch.  What other character breakfasts are going to give you that?
