I may have enjoyed summer, but I am glad it’s fall. Football is back, the leaves are changing, and Halloween is just around the corner. Plus it’s time for all the best fall activities, like corn mazes!
And there’s a corn maze very close to Chicago, Illinois that I know you’ll want to check out. It takes place at Keller’s Farmstead in Oswego, Illinois.
The Keller’s Farmstead has an interesting history. Their family story in America begins when Adam Keller immigrated from Germany to Naperville, Illinois, where he purchased land along River Road in 1852. This new farm is where Frank Keller grew up. Keller eventually began farming on a new Ogden Avenue farm. Then in 1991, Keller’s Farmstand officially began. It started with a small cart on the Naperville farm’s driveway. But eventually, it became a large farmstand standing on their original farm soil.
It is still around today, and it is a wonderful place to visit during autumn. There are a lot of fun fall activities you can do here. You can visit the farm on Saturdays and Sundays, starting back on September 7th, 2024, and running through October 27th, 2024.
These activities you can enjoy include:
- 8-acre corn maze with 2 observation decks
- Rope Maze
- Brick Maze
- Tire stack for climbing
- Playhouse with slide
- Antique tractors where you can sit and take photos
- Kids play area with castle, pirate ship & Noah’s ark
