Amorette’s Patisserie is a popular pastry shop located in the Town Center section of Disney Springs. The highlight of the menu is the selection of cakes: a 50th celebration petit cake, character cakes, and even Amorette’s Signature Cake, which features 11 delicious layers of red velvet cake, Italian buttercream, chocolate mousse and more.

You can do more than just enjoy the cakes from Amorette’s Patisserie (though that is pretty wonderful by itself!). You can learn how to decorate cakes from the pros!

The Amorette’s Patisserie Cake Decorating Experience has been available since November 16, 2022. We’re going to let you know what these very special lessons involve. And we’ll also share some tips for staying near Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Amorette’s Patisserie Cake Decorating Experience

With this Cake Decorating Experience, you’ll be able to attend a 90 minute class with a skilled Disney pastry artist. The class takes place on select dates at 9:15 in the morning, before Amorette’s Patisserie opens for the day.

You and up to 13 other classmates will learn how to decorate a classic Mickey Mouse Dome Cake or Minnie Mouse Dome Cake (more about that later). Find out how to do things like pour glaçage and carefully place Mickey ears. You’ll also get to hear fascinating behind-the-scenes stories about Amorette’s Patisserie – and some insider tips as well!

By the end of the lesson, you’ll have a cake of your own that you can take back to your hotel or home. And if you’d like to spend the afternoon exploring the rest of Disney Springs? No problem! Amorette’s Patisserie will hold onto your cake for you, until you pick it up later that day.

The Experience also includes refreshments during the class, such as teas, specialty coffees, select alcoholic beverages, and water. You’ll also get a gift from Amorette’s Patisserie.

The price of the Cake Decorating Experience is $199 plus tax. This includes one cake and up to 2 guests decorating one cake. You can add a second cake for an additional $50 plus tax.

Reservations in advance are required. You can make them here.

And as for which Dome Cake you’ll make? This depends on what day your lesson is.

You’ll decorate a Mickey Mouse Dome Cake on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This cake includes Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Orange Pate De Fruit Jelly, and Milk Chocolate Mousse.

And you can create a Minnie Mouse Dome Cake on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This cake involves Lemon Chiffon Cake, Strawberry Pate De Fruit Jelly, and White Chocolate Mousse.

Disney Springs

Disney Springs is a dining, shopping, and entertainment complex that’s part of the Walt Disney World Resort. Unlike the theme parks, though, you don’t need a ticket or a reservation to visit Disney Springs.

If you’re planning a Disney World vacation and you want Disney Springs to be a big part of it, we recommend the following Disney World onsite hotels:

All of those hotels offer boat transportation to and from Disney Springs. This is something our family really enjoys; the boat rides are a lot more relaxing than bus rides!

While Saratoga Springs Resort is within walking distance to Disney Springs, the other three are not. If being within walking distance is important to you, consider staying at one of these Disney Springs Area hotels:
