So I love almost everything about fireworks at the Walt Disney World Resort. The one thing I don’t like is waiting around for them. I like having a great view of the fireworks. But I really don’t enjoy standing around and waiting for over an hour. And it’s not just because it can get kind of dull to wait. Mainly I hate the way my feet and back hurt afterward. But I’m not very tall so I need a good spot. So if there is some way I can watch the fireworks without the wait, I’m in.
This is why I was so happy when my sister told me about the new Epcot Harmonious Dining Package available at Rose & Crown. The Rose & Crown Dining Room is already one of my family’s favorite restaurants at Disney World. We love eating there and try to eat there whenever we visit Disney World. The restaurant is really convenient, too, with the World Showcase entrance of Epcot. So we love eating there when we stay at a hotel within walking distance of Epcot, like the Dolphin, Swan, Boardwalk, Beach Club, or Yacht Club. Or when we stay at a hotel with Skyliner access to the World Showcase, like Art of Animation, Pop Century, or the Caribbean Beach Resort.
But the Epcot Harmonious Dining Package makes eating there even more special.
Epcot Harmonious Dining Package
So what is the Epcot Harmonious Dining Package? The dining package includes a prix fixe menu where you pick one appetizer and one entree. You also get a dessert platter and unlimited drinks!
But that’s not the best part. The best part is the fireworks. You see, you get to sit on the patio right beside the water so you get amazing views of the fireworks! When I heard about this, I knew I had to do it. This meant I could sit at my table, enjoy a delicious meal, and then get a wonderful view of the fireworks. And I could do all this with no standing and waiting!
My family thought it would be fun to watch the Harmonious fireworks on the debut night, which was actually Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, October 1st. So the second I could book a reservation for this (like I literally got up in the middle of the night) I made a reservation.
Rose & Crown Epcot Harmonious Dining Package: Arrival
So when October 1st rolled around, we were allowed to check in at 8:15 PM. I wasn’t sure how many tables were included in this deal and if we’d end up getting a bad view.
But it turned out the worry was all for naught. First of all, all the tables have great views. Everyone who does this package gets to sit waterside. And secondly, they assign you tables. Our table had an amazing view.
Right away, Disney makes you feel special when you book this package. In addition to an assigned seat, we even had a place card with our family name!
So our evening was already off to a great start.
Drinks
So as I mentioned earlier, this dining package includes unlimited drinks. This does not, however, mean you can have unlimited drinks from the entire menu (sadly). They have specific drinks that are included as part of the package.

Drink Review
The drinks we ordered were the Harp Lager and the Kim Crawford Sauvignon-Blanc. The Harp Lager was very good.
The Kim Crawford Sauvignon-Blanc also got great reviews.
It was nice and light.
Appetizers
For appetizers, you could choose between a cheese platter, Scottish egg, and the soup of the day. Virtually everyone at my table chose the cheese platter.
My mom, however, chose the Scotch Egg.
This was a Golden-fried Hard-boiled Cage-free Egg wrapped in Sausage with Mustard Sauce. My mom said the egg was good. She liked the food in the middle of the egg but then the taste changed and she didn’t like it as much.
The rest of us got the United Kingdom Cheese Platter.
It is a mix of traditional British cheeses. The first cheese was Cheddar with Apple Chutney. The second cheese was a Pub cheese with onion jam. This cheese was good with crackers and it was good with jam, but all three together tasted a bit off. The jam was sweet and pretty good. The third cheese, an Irish Cheddar, was the best. It went great with a cracker.
Entrée
We were still working on our appetizers when they brought out the entrees at 8:58 PM.
For entrées, you can choose between four different entrées. You can get their signature dish of Fish and Chips, which is what most of my table did. But you can also get Bangers and Mash, Shepherd’s Pie, or the catch of the day.
No one at my table got the catch of the day. But my mom did get the Shepherd’s Pie.
The Shepherd’s Pie includes Ground Beef, Seasonal Vegetables, English Peas, and Mashed Potatoes with Irish Cheddar. Although she did say that the potatoes were more whipped than mashed.
But having said that, she said the Shepherd’s Pie was delicious. It was perfectly cooled and everything was moist. It had gravy that didn’t dominate. The potatoes were excellent. And the carrots were melt in your mouth good.
My dad got the bangers and mash.
He said the sausage and the mashed potatoes were all really good.
I was one of the ones at my table who ordered the Fish and Chips.
The fish and chips were very good. I eat a lot of fish and it wasn’t necessarily the best fish I have ever eaten, but it was still delicious. The fries (or “chips”) were my favorite part, though. They were so delicious.
Dessert Platter
The last course of the meal was the desserts. Our server asked us if we wanted to have the dessert before or after the fireworks. We opted for before, but then the dessert ended up being brought out about seven minutes before the fireworks. So you might want to ask for the dessert after the fireworks if you want to savor the dessert.
The dessert platter was a trio of Rose & Crown’s puddings.
The trio included Sticky Toffee Pudding, Strawberry Trifle, and Malted Milk Chocolate Mousse with Chocolate Shortbread Ganache. All of it was so good! My favorite was the Malted Milk Chocolate Mousse, but I liked them all.
Fireworks
Eventually, it was time for what we really came for. Epcot’s brand new Harmonious fireworks show!
The fireworks show was at 9:45 PM. Around 9:30 PM, they started closing the umbrellas to give the people behind us a better view of the fireworks. These were customers who were dining at Rose & Crown but not as part of the dessert package.
There was actually an issue with our umbrella where they had trouble closing it all the way, which was going to actually hurt our view. But they eventually were able to fix the issue so everyone could see the fireworks.
And I am glad they did because it was an amazing show!
We loved the fireworks show so much. Our views were perfect. We were able to see both projections and fireworks all the while sitting at our table.
And the fireworks and projections were all great. I also really loved the music. My parents actually said it was the best fireworks they had ever seen.
Conclusion
Now, the Epcot Harmonious Fireworks Package at Rose & Crown is not cheap. It is a fixed price of $89 for adults (which is children 10 years old and older) and $39 for children. But is it worth it? To me, absolutely. You get clear, amazing views of the fireworks without having to wait around for it. And you get to do this while having a really delicious dinner. It just makes for a really amazing night.
