Want a Disney World deluxe resort stay without high prices? Take advantage of these Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Old Key West Resort hotel deals!
How to Save Money
Our family loves using David’s Vacation Club Rentals for staying at Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, and a number of other Disney World hotels, too. We aren’t Disney Vacation Club members, but that’s okay. With David’s, we can do something called rent points from people who are DVC members. (We go over the process of how non-members can book a DVC hotel with points here.)
Another way to use David’s Vacation Club Rentals to save money on your hotel stay is by booking something called Confirmed Reservations. This is when someone has already booked a stay but aren’t able to make it, so someone else can rent it. In this case, the dates, resort and room type are set. But this is where, in our experience, you can find some particularly amazing deals.

For the May dates, that same reservation (dates and room type) currently costs a total of $2,217.39 on the Walt Disney World website. That’s over twice as much as the confirmed reservation on David’s website!
For the November dates, a preferred studio is not available on the Disney World website. But for the same dates and a standard studio, it would cost $1,388.26, which is nearly twice as much as the confirmed reservation. And choosing a preferred room really can make a difference. You see, Saratoga Springs is a sprawling resort. A preferred room means you’ll be closer to things like the boat transportation to Disney Springs and the onsite restaurants. This will save you a lot of time on your vacation!

The first deal, for the night of June 17, is a fantastic price. (Remember, that’s the full price – there aren’t any added taxes or fees when you check out.) Since it’s just one night, it also would work well as part of a longer trip, perhaps one where you stayed closer to Universal or SeaWorld the rest of the time.
And the second deal, while slightly more expensive per night, does include three nights. This gives you time to enjoy the resort and would work well either as your whole trip or part of a longer vacation where you stayed at another hotel either before or after.

Why Saratoga Springs and Old Key West?
Now, you can book a lot of Disney hotels through David’s – most of the deluxe resorts at Disney World, as well as a few other hotels in other places (such as Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort or the Disneyland Hotel).
But the cheapest prices are generally for Saratoga Springs and Old Key West Resort. This has a lot to do with the fact that they are two of the deluxe resorts with the most rooms, and all of the rooms are available for DVC members to book. So there’s just usually more availability than, say, Disney’s Beach Club. This keeps the costs down in general (relatively speaking) for Saratoga Springs and Old Key West.
About Saratoga Springs & Old Key West Resorts
Saratoga Spring Resort & Spa and Old Key West Resort are two of Disney’s deluxe resorts. This means they are in the top tier of Disney’s hotels (the other two categories are “moderate” and “value”).
The two resorts are considered Disney Springs resorts and have boat transportation to Disney Springs. (Disney Springs, formerly known as Downtown Disney, is a large complex with a number of restaurant, shopping and entertainment options.) You can also walk from Saratoga Springs to Disney Springs. (You can technically walk from Old Key West to Disney Springs, but it is not as simple or convenient.)
Unlike some of the other deluxe resorts, there is only bus transportation to the theme parks – you cannot take a monorail or boat to any of the theme parks.
If you’re interested in a deluxe studio villa (the least expensive villa option offered at these two resorts), keep in mind that the deluxe studio in Old Key West has 2 queen beds, while the deluxe studio in Saratoga Springs has 1 queen bed and 1 double pull-down bed. Depending on the size and sleeping preferences of your party, this can give the deluxe studio at Old Key West quite the edge!
